Former President Donald Trump said at a Fox News rally in Pennsylvania on Wednesday night that the U.S. is heading into “World War III territory” as wars overseas escalate under the Biden-Harris administration.
“We’re heading into World War III territory because of the power of weapons, particularly nuclear weapons, but other weapons as well. I know those weapons better than anybody because I’m the guy who bought them,” Trump said at New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The town hall, moderated by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, answered questions from voters in key battleground states that could determine the outcome of the Nov. 5 election.
“We rebuilt the entire military, we upgraded the entire program. And, you know, the one program that we were reluctant to upgrade was the nuclear program. And I understand the nuclear program probably better than anybody. My uncle was a professor at MIT, the longest-tenured professor in the history of MIT. A very smart man. We have smart family members. It’s good to have smart family members, but I’ve known about nuclear for a long time, and I’ve understood the power of nuclear weapons. We need a president who won’t get us into a war.”
Trump urges Europe to provide more aid to Ukraine, insists war with Russia never happened during his term
“If I get elected there will not be World War III. But with these clowns here, there will be World War III. And it will be a war like no other before.”
In 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, sparking a war in the country, and in October last year, Hamas terrorists launched attacks on Israel, sparking another war in the Middle East.
During the town hall meeting, President Trump emphasized that if he were in the Oval Office, the world would not be facing war and chaos.
Trump slams Biden at New Hampshire rally, says inflation, Ukraine-Israel war ‘wouldn’t have happened under my administration’
“Right now in the world we have problems with Israel and the Middle East. … Things are getting worse. We have problems with Ukraine and Russia. This would never have happened. October 7th would not have happened if I was president. It would not have happened. Everybody knows that. Iran is bankrupt. It couldn’t fund Hamas. It couldn’t fund Hezbollah. It couldn’t fund anybody. Iran wanted to get by and we would have made a fair deal with them,” he said.
