Cardi B, an avid Birkin collector, may be desperately searching for another rare Hermes handbag, but she’s also fond of some affordable finds that seem to be inspired by the French fashion house.
In a teary-eyed Instagram Story over the weekend, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper lamented her struggles to track down one of the luxury brand’s carryalls, among other frustrations. “I don’t understand why I still can’t get my hands on one of the bags,” the Grammy-winning singer said. “I wear them every day, and they’re so cute.” [Instagram] I can’t find my bag, even though it’s on the Explore page. … I call Hermès Connect every day, but it’s still not in the store. … I’m so sick of it. I’m so tired of it all.” (If you missed it, check out fashion influencer Brian Yambao’s reaction video for a recap.)
While her first-world problems may not be as relatable, many of us can relate to the 31-year-old artist’s retail therapy at Target — specifically, the shoe department. After lamenting the difficulty of finding Hermès, the singer strikes a more cheerful tone as she points to a pair of Hailey Slide sandals from Wild Fable, one of the retail giant’s trendy in-house brands. They bear a striking resemblance to Hermès chypre sandals, which retail for $910. That’s right, Cardi B’s favorite Target designer dummies can achieve the look for 97 percent of that price.

“This is my gift to Hermes! $30!” she exclaims. Indeed, the wallet-friendly slip-ons are just $30 and available in black or white synthetic leather. They feature a cushioned footbed, hook-and-loop straps, and a backless design. (It’s worth noting that the product label shown in Cardi B’s video is for a different shoe.)
For those looking for an alternative option, A New Day’s Nina slide sandals offer a similar look for just $20 and come in black, brown, white faux leather, denim, and woven beige.
The “I Like It” singer also noted these white heeled western boots ($40) from Universal Threads, which she paired with “bootcut jeans and gold hoop earrings,” as well as these A New Day Maxine ballet flats ($30), which she described as “very Chanel.”

Earlier this month, Cardi B filed for divorce from Migos rapper Offset, the same day she revealed she is pregnant with his third child.
The shoes are part of Target’s stylish lineup, which also includes Bottega Veneta-inspired woven handbags and luxe home decor items that offer designer looks at a fraction of the luxury price.
