Amazon will once again hold its Prime Day sale in October, marking the fourth year that it has hosted the twice-yearly mega sales event.
Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s big event, a two-day event with huge discounts across a wide range of products just before the holiday shopping season. Sales include electronics, home and kitchen goods, beauty products, toys, fashion, and more.
Now that Amazon has announced the official dates for its “Prime Big Deal Days,” the countdown is on until some of the biggest discounts of the year hits stores.

What are Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon’s “Prime Big Deal Days” is the second Prime Day sale this year, first launched in 2021 as the “Prime Early Access Sale”. The following year, Amazon renamed this big sale to its current name, “Prime Big Deal Days”.
Similar to Prime Day in July, this sale will feature some of Amazon’s best deals all year. Not only will you see big price cuts across every product category, but there will also be some major early sales before “Prime Big Deal Day” kicks off.
Amazon says that new price drops will be posted every five minutes during the sale, so be sure to check back often to see if items on your wishlist have been discounted.
When are Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2024?
In 2024, Amazon will begin “Prime Big Deal Days” on Tuesday, October 8 at 3:01 a.m. ET (12:01 a.m. PST on October 8). The sale will run for two days and end at midnight on October 9.
Do I need to be a Prime member to shop on Prime Big Deal Day?
Yes, like all of Amazon’s Prime Day events, you’ll need to be a Prime member to score the big deals offered during this “Prime Big Deal Days” sale, but you can sign up for Prime right now for $14.99 per month or $139 per year to shop the sale.
Prime members also get additional benefits, including free shipping with same-day and next-day delivery options, streaming Prime Video, access to Amazon Music, Grubhub+ membership, and pharmacy discounts.

Up to 40% off winter fashion from Amazon Essentials, including sweaters and down jackets. Halloween costumes and accessories for all ages starting at just $5. Deals on electronics from brands like Beats, Samsung, and Fujifilm. Markdowns on toys from popular brands like Barbie, Squishmallows, Play-Doh, and Disney. Discounts on beauty and fashion products from name brands like Clinique, Too Faced, Florence by Mills, Cider, and Aéropostale. Markdowns on hosting essentials and home decor from manufacturers like NEST New York, Lenox, and Lodge. Deals on products from Coach, KitchenAid, JBL, LEGO, and more.
