Washington, September 17, 2024 LONDON, Oct 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — U.S. News & World Report, the global authority on rankings and consumer advice, today released its 2024-2025 U.S. News Best Companies to Work For: Private Companies. The assessment recognizes the best privately held and nonprofit organizations with more than 5,000 employees across 18 industries to help employees and job seekers determine the right place to work for them.
The new ratings are part of the ongoing diversification of U.S. News’ Best Companies service and career advice, which provides analysis of private and nonprofit organizations that best align with consumers’ preferences across factors such as pay and benefits quality, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, sense of belonging and self-esteem, and career opportunities and professional development.

U.S. News’ methodology incorporates input from a panel of experts, publicly available analysis of employee sentiment toward companies, editorial judgment and other data that shows how companies support their employees’ day-to-day experience. The 2024-2025 assessment is grouped by Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) criteria and features more than 200 private companies and nonprofits across 18 industries. Industries include financial services, manufacturing, consumer products and services, and more.
To calculate its U.S. News Best Places to Work: Private Companies list, U.S. News ranks companies with 5,000 or more employees as follows: $500 million Companies with at least $1 million in annual revenue as defined by Crunchbase and at least 75 Glassdoor reviews written between 2020 and 2023.
Relevant data, such as employee sentiment and regulatory enforcement data, was collected from our partners Revelio Labs, Good Jobs Champions Group, Sustainable Accounting Standards Board, and Global Reporting Initiative to calculate the six metrics used in the list.
