team,
Great news: Jamie Heller will be joining Business Insider as its new editor in chief.
Jamie has worked at The Wall Street Journal for over 20 years and currently leads the company’s global business and technology coverage. She led the corporate team during the pandemic to document the coming of inflation, labor shortages and the increasing pressure on white-collar workers in the aftermath. She has led the Journal’s technology coverage, including on AI and the dominance of tech giants. Jamie is a respected leader known for her hard work and strong news judgment.
Jamie is a longtime Business Insider fan (and subscriber!) and loves everything that makes us unique. We’ve already seen incredible transformation and growth since we put our strategy in place, and Jamie’s mission is to keep us on the right path so we can make our future-proof strategy a reality.
“It’s been great getting to know Jamie over the past few months. She’s sharp, passionate and believes deeply that journalism is a team sport. I’m confident that Jamie has the ability to lead our team into its next era.”
Finally, I would like to thank Julie Zebeloff West for her leadership as Interim Editor-in-Chief over the past few months, and the entire editorial leadership team for their dedicated work during this time.
Please join me in welcoming Jamie to the team. I can’t wait for you all to meet him!
