PHOENIX — A high-end kitchen appliance warehouse will break ground in January 2023 and was recently completed in Goodyear along Loop 303, two construction companies announced Thursday.
Located near Camelback Road and Cotton Lane, Sub-Zero Group, Inc. sits on 36 acres and occupies approximately 600,000 square feet of industrial space.
ViaWest Group and construction partner Willmeng Construction celebrated the completion of the industrial project with a ribbon-cutting event. The Phoenix-based commercial company invited Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo and other city council members to mark the moment.

The building features more sustainable HVAC units than usual and 34 truck bays designed for in-and-out deliveries.
The $118 million investment marks the second Sub-Zero location to open in Goodyear, with the first completed in 2011. The new warehouse will create 143 jobs over five years with an average annual salary of $52,000, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
It is expected to generate approximately $600 million in economic impact and $5.6 million in property tax revenue over the next 10 years.
“We have a track record here, so we know the workforce, the talent and the people. Other places are unknowns,” Scott Waring, Sub-Zero’s senior vice president of operations and products, said in an interview with the Phoenix Business Journal on Wednesday.
The Wisconsin-based company now has a total of three locations in the Valley region, with the other two located near Van Buren Road and 35th Street in Phoenix, and at Indian School Road and Cotton Lane in Goodyear.
“We are very proud that one of Goodyear’s existing manufacturers has chosen to continue with Goodyear with this new expansion project. Sub-Zero was the first manufacturing company in PV303, became the first manufacturer in the Greater Maricopa Foreign Trade Zone in 2011 and is now our seventh largest employer,” Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo said in a press release.
