“It hurt but motivated,” the way one of Voldy Mee Zelensky’s aides explained how they felt as a small group of journalists packed them into what felt like an even smaller room at Stansted Airport.
The British nation did its best to give the Ukrainian president “all bells and whistles” when it arrived in Britain for a summit with 18 world leaders after dressing down Donald Trump and JD Vance on Friday night.
He shared a hug with Kiel strermer’s starmer outside of No. 10.
However, 90 minutes before the plane’s wheels rose, he returned home and told him that Zelensky wanted to go to the record to have an argument with the world.
After being criticized in the White House, he was immersed in the UK and, at least in public, he felt no disgusting.
“If we don’t maintain our spirit, we’ll disappoint everyone,” he said.
He made positive noises about IS Kiel and French President Emmanuel Macron seizing the peace plan before they presented them to the US, and developing more persuasive security assurances to help Europe raise the game.
Zelensky said he was ready to give Donald Trump one of his requests – signing a mineral trade that would allow the US access to some of Ukrainian resources.
Beyond that, despite all the pressures of the three-year war, Zelensky stood firm on Sunday night, under all the demands from the White House, whether fair or not, there was the power to protect or abandon his country.
He told us at this stage that it was wrong to discuss abandoning the territory that Russia had captured, and it was too early for the Prime Minister to “talk about the Lines.”
He never apologized to Trump or regretted what happened in his oval office.
Even the NATO boss has called on Zelensky to find a way to reset relations with US leaders.
But in Stansted’s stifling room, Zelensky’s tone wasn’t much.
He said he traveled hours to go to the White House – his visit was a sign of respect. He also said “no one will humiliate,” and that the conversation when it exploded was not positive for anyone.
Zelensky chose his words very carefully. He tried to avoid the death of what happened. He wasn’t rude about Trump – he barely mentioned him by name – and suggested that the tension would meet.
If you see the complete horror of what happened in your oval office, you may not blame Zelensky for feeling that he was not saying he was sorry.
If you hear him tell him what happened to his country, you can understand why it feels so impossible at this stage that he will admit that accepting compromise must come to end the war.
When you see him talk directly about violence and the pain of being released, you feel his total distrust that no one might see the world in his own way.
But is it reality? So far, neither Zelensky nor Western leaders have persuaded Trump to adopt that moral clarity in this war. And it is difficult to see this war end even if it is painful, even if it is painful.
Zelensky is a master communicator, authentic, unquestionable, and a performer by trade.
“Our freedom and values are not on sale,” says Zelensky, who surrendered, with his desire to communicate with him, along with his willingness to sign a mineral trade.
He once again expressed his gratitude to the United States and other countries for their support. But don’t forget for now. There’s more to it between them and their team behind closed doors about all of the meetings we’ve seen with leaders we’ve published.
As our conversation was coming to an end, there was a suggestion that Macron and Sir Kiel had been proposing a month’s truce as they reached my phone as part of a peace plan.
I asked President Zelensky knew and he would agree to such a deal.
“I know everything,” he joked, laughing in the room, offering handshakes and photos on his way to the plane.
He might have hoped he had his final words at the end of a dramatic and difficult weekend. But the conversation about this conflict can last for months, but it will last for weeks.
