YouTube TV announced Thursday that it is increasing the price of its subscription service again.
YouTube TV announced in an email to customers that it will increase its prices by $10 starting next year “to accommodate rising content costs and investments in quality of service.”
Starting January 13, 2025, the monthly price for a basic YouTube TV subscription will increase from $72.99 per month to $82.99 per month.
YouTube TV told USA TODAY that users can pause or cancel their subscription service.
“We don’t take these pricing decisions lightly, and we give all members the flexibility to cancel their membership at any time,” YouTube spokeswoman Alison To said in a statement.

When will YouTube TV price increases start?
Mr Toh also revealed that the new rates will be effective for new members from today. All existing YouTube TV members will see the new rates on their next billing cycle after January 13, 2025.
After launching in 2017, YouTube TV became a popular low-cost entertainment service that inspired many people to cut the cable cord.
In 2017, users could watch whatever they wanted through the app for $35 a month. Over the years, YouTube TV has added Spanish-language networks, sports programming, and additional add-ons to its subscription service.
