Hoboken, New Jersey – Russell Rogers, assistant vice president and director of athletics and recreation at Stevens Institute of Technology, announced Friday that Brianna Wright has been promoted to assistant director of athletics for sports medicine.
“I am excited to see the impact Bri will have on the Sports Medicine Office in her new leadership role,” said Rogers. “She is an energetic leader and has the background and skill level to effectively manage and lead Stevens Sports Medicine into the future. Our athletic trainers are a critical part of the student-athlete experience. While at Stevens Wright worked on many different programs, including field hockey, men’s and women’s swimming, and men’s lacrosse. She provides sports management and medical insurance, as well as providing treatment and implementing rehabilitation plans for the entire student-athlete population. Additionally, she works closely with team physicians and strength and conditioning staff to develop plans and programs for return to play and injury prevention.
Wright joined Stevens in the fall of 2022 after spending nearly two years at the same Middle Atlantic Conference institution. Worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Eastern University. she Mainly covered field hockey, women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse. with the eagles while overseeing athletic training operations for several other teams.
Her first directorial position was at Mead High School in Meade, Colorado, where she served as the director’s athletic trainer from September 2017 to July 2020. While in Colorado, Wright served as an athletic trainer at Front Range Orthopedics and Spine, where he was diagnosed with clinical cancer. Exercise Specialist at the University of Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute.

Wright earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in Public Health from Montclair State University in 2016 and a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019.
