According to my results (and I could be wrong), this season the Packers were 10-0 when leading at the start of the fourth quarter and 1-6 when trailing (the only The upset came in Week 11 in Chicago). What can the Packers do in Philadelphia to avoid being trailed? One thing we’ve noticed in each of the past three losses is a fumble in the first quarter. Thank you for your wonderful content.
Play with purpose, run with purpose and protect the football. The Packers have shown the ability to start fast, but they have to stop hurting themselves with penalties, turnovers, and missed assignments. The season depends on it.
Admittedly, recent performances don’t give me much confidence that the Packers can win in Philadelphia. But I’m still excited to play on Sunday, and I know I don’t know what will happen. This team is not without talent. It’s just that it’s not put together. We don’t know what the outcome will be, but sign up to support your team until time runs out. There is no good in being too pessimistic, so I would like to approach the situation with hope and optimism.
The Packers are one of 14 teams eligible for the Lombardi Trophy. I don’t know about you, but that makes sense to me. It’s never a good feeling going into the playoffs with two straight losses, but Kansas City wasn’t exactly setting the league on fire before last year’s postseason began. Lesson taught. The finals are about to begin.
Can Wes put to rest the narrative that last year’s Packers were the hottest team since the 1972 Dolphins, because every week (never mind every year) is its own unique entity in this league? For Hod’s sake, they lost to Tommy Cattletz in December and then narrowly beat a terrible Carolina team in a must-win game. Any momentum (or lack thereof) up until that point is gone by the first snap, and the game will be won or lost by how well the front seven can control Saquon Barkley and how Jordan Love will fit into Vic Fangio’s plans. It will depend on how you adapt.
The wrestling fan in me loves the fact that the Packers’ season requires them to beat the team that beat them in Brazil. With most of last year’s team returning, we feel this young roster is in the right headspace to get the job done. They did it last year. Would you like to shock the soccer world once again?
What does Green Bay need to do to be better defensively than it was on Sunday?
The defense was OK on Sunday, but I didn’t expect the team to finish with just two QB hits and one sack after Rashan Gary dropped Caleb Williams on Chicago’s first play. Overall, I thought the defense played well considering the absences and circumstances. The special teams allowed a punt return for a TD, but the offense turned the ball over twice, which led to 14 of the Bears’ 24 points.
My opinion is that coaches should no longer take responsibility after the game. I was baffled that they gave up FG range without putting pressure on the QB.
LaFleur said Monday that the Packers needed to make another call on a third-and-11 play with that much time left. Protecting outside leverage is fine, but the defense needs a “low hole” player to gain on the line to prevent receivers coming from the diagonal from getting first downs and allowing Chicago to spike. You’ll hear from Jeff Hafley on Thursday.

Who will take the leadership role in the locker room to hold the players accountable? Will the coaches do the same? Sunday had more questions than answers.
It certainly sounded like Xavier McKinney and Rashan Gary had something to say after the game, but McKinney politely declined to get into specifics.

Since this is a copycat league, how long does it take for each team to be ready to play their 40-man opponent’s No. 4 shortstop? We expect all teams to work on that this offseason. I am doing it.
I think we’re getting close to that.
The player I would like to see more success in the postseason is Jaden Reed. I might be off the mark, but considering the promise he showed last year, I feel like he had a pretty mediocre season this year. I’m not saying he’s bad, but I thought his jump in year two would be bigger. Which player would you like to see further development this postseason?
I think Reid made a jump in his play in the first month of the season, starting with monster games against Philadelphia and Minnesota. Reid (and really the entire receiving corps) had a drop and a down period in the middle of the season, but the Packers need his playmaking ability now more than ever.
The passing game has its ups and downs, so how much does having the same set of receivers available from week to week affect the inconsistency? Romeo Dubs, Christian Watson and Luke Musgrave all missed key games did.
That’s the hardest part of the NFL, and it’s also what separates the elite teams from the pack. Injuries affect every team. Detroit’s defense is full of them this year. Still, the Lions established a winning formula, winning 15 of 17 games and clinching the NFC’s top seed.
I am neither a doctor nor an athlete, so I would appreciate your perspective on Watson’s injury. Can we console ourselves with the fact that his other knee may not have been 100% and had nothing to do with Sunday’s play (an unfortunate event that would happen someday anyway)? Or are the Packers kicking themselves for letting him play when he got hit? Thank you for this and all the other great work you do for us fans.
I am not a doctor and have no inside information regarding Watson’s anterior cruciate ligament injury. For these two reasons, I’m not going to speculate or make pointless speculations about everything that happened on Sunday. All I know is that my heart breaks for Watson, who has done all the right things since being drafted by the Packers in 2022.
