Hungarian LCC Wizz Air has introduced mobile payment services “Apple Pay” and “Google Pay” to its reservation app. This new feature is already available on the official Wizz Air app for iOS and Android devices.
The announcement comes shortly after the airline confirmed it would accept Revolut cards on board. Like other low-cost airlines, Wiz is keen to offer as many quick and convenient ways as possible to pass on revenue to passengers.

This new feature allows customers to make payments up to 10 days before departure, which is especially useful for last-minute customers who need to complete their reservations quickly. According to airline data, around one-third of travelers prefer to purchase additional services or products at a later stage in the booking process, and almost half of customers do so through an app.
