South Jersey’s newest restaurant, Wingstop, has opened in Glassboro’s Collegetown Shopping Center, next to GNC and near the new Five Below and Alta.
42Freeway first wrote about plans for the Glassboro Wingstop in March of this year.
Wingstop Glassboro – Collegetown Shopping Center
I think everyone knows about Wingstop at this point, but let me just say that it’s a quick-serve restaurant that focuses on wings, tenders, and sandwiches with a choice of 12 signature sauces. On the side, we also offer fresh natural cut fries, Cajun fried corn, and vegetable sticks in a variety of delicious styles.
Wingstop stores are typically developed within strip malls, but the new Pennsauken store is a larger, freestanding unit. With a focus on takeout and delivery, most area stores typically have enough space for a kitchen, customer ordering/waiting area, and several indoor dining tables.

I’ve written about some of the openings in South Jersey, and while this Glassboro location does have seating, it seems to be one of the smaller ones…but the wings and sandwiches are packed with full flavor. Masu.
I stopped by the new location in Glassboro just a few days ago and it was already full. It was a mid-week afternoon, and many customers were sitting at tables eating, and many others were also waiting to order.

Honestly, this is the Wingstop experience I see over and over again…not only when writing about new places, but also when I occasionally stop by to get some wings for lunch.
For Wingstop, this is a continued expansion effort in South Jersey that began in 2021 when it first entered the South Jersey market with its Deptford location.
It has since added stores at Blackwood-Clementon Road (2022), Cross Keys Road (2024) and Rt 130 Pennsauken (2024). The popular Facebook page “A View From Evesham” recently posted that a filming location is coming to Voorhees in Eagle Plaza. (Facebook)

As mentioned earlier, this new Wingstop is located in the Collegetown Shopping Center in Glassboro.
This unit was previously the large Rainbow Clothing Store, but has been split into two separate units. The other will be the location of my salon suite.
This is another major deal for the Brixmore-owned shopping center, which has undergone a complete transformation in recent years.
Collegetown recently added a new Five Below and Ulta store (taking over the former Staples location). Just a few years ago, work was completed to convert the former Kmart building into a LIDL, Big Lots and Ross store.
Wingstop consistently serves delicious food at reasonable prices, which is why people keep coming back. An important part of their model is to focus on a few things and do them well.
All Wingstop locations in South Jersey have a very similar design and offer a consistently delicious and simple menu.
I’ve tried the wings several times and also had the chicken sandwich when I stopped by the Sicklerville, NJ location, and all the meals were very delicious. On our visit to Glassboro, we didn’t have enough time to wait for our order.
This is important to note… As with most casual restaurants today, your best bet is probably to order online so your order is ready when you arrive.
Chicken Sandwich – From Wingstop Sicklerville
This plan must be working because the company and its stock price continue to rise. When I called this out in February, I commented that it had doubled from $150 to $300 in a year, so I should take my own advice. Well, as I write this today, their stock is currently trading at $415.
