Here’s what our hip team shared about their spring break tradition:
“Our family usually lands around our anniversary/birthday, so we usually go on a big spring break trip. We plan to go to new places every year, but this year we decided to plan something fun and affordable to stay home after work! My kids are in spring break this week. Horseback riding, downtown pizza and ice cream, and beach nights!
“We usually travel on spring break from around birthdays/anniversaries. We went to Orlando Resort every year so we were able to eat fries in tubes floating in lazy rivers. Each has a different theme, so it’s a lot of fun to stay with Little’s. – Cass
“We’ve always gone somewhere for my son’s spring break and combined our vacation with places that last few years that we had to travel for work that week. We’ve been to really exciting places like Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and more. Stay on the Bay and the property. – Dennis
Some of our hip buddies have no chance to celebrate Spring Break at all.
“We don’t usually do much during spring break. We sometimes try to find something to do here and there, but nothing crazy.” – Melinda
“We don’t do spring break trips. My kids only took a weekend or two weeks from school in the spring, so they land around my son’s birthday, so they find fun things to do in the area and plan a quick day trip to big malls and fun events.
“When our kids were younger, we had a spring break trip, but spring break is all more difficult because older kids are working and playing sports and have different schedules. – Lina
“The kids here don’t really get spring break. They only have a few four-day weekends throughout March/April, but that’s it. This year’s family birthdays and sports are too busy navigating their spring break trips. Summer starts at the end of May. – Sarah
“School has a week off in April, but I don’t have a spring break trip here. Speaking of which, I do short weekend trips somewhere in my hometown to shop, otherwise I’ll use that week for my home/outdoor projects.
I have a three-week holiday in September and October, so I tend to go on a “spring break” trip afterwards. The crowds are less problematic as the weather improves and people don’t take a few weeks off. And it’s like the last thing that happened before the weather got worse and I stopped traveling. “-Liza
