One woman’s Houston “luxury apartment” tour failed to impress her. Some agree that the term may be overused by real estate agents.

In a viral video viewed by more than 810,300 people, TikTok user Aylin (@aylinragh) gave viewers a virtual tour of the location.
Many viewers were not very impressed with this house.
A “luxury” apartment that doesn’t meet expectations
In the video, the woman showed off her unfurnished pad in Texas. The video’s text overlay reads, “Pov: Touring ‘luxury’ apartments in Houston.”
She started at the front door and pointed the camera toward the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets and appliances looked new. She then showed off the room’s closet, which contained both a washer and dryer.
“Please wait a second,” text appeared over the clip, prompting viewers.
Eventually, as the woman made her way down the hallway, she took a photo of a dead cockroach on the floor. The apartment had a balcony, bedroom and bathroom.
However, many have noticed that a strange humming sound is present throughout the place.
In the comments section, many people pointed out the flaws in the apartment.
“Is this what an apartment looks like??? I could never do that,” one user wrote.
“Looks like you’re on a cruise ship, wow,” someone else commented.
Some pointed out that the “luxury” apartments did not live up to the description.
One user said, “I’m sure at least 85% of luxury apartments have the same floor plan lol.”
A second user added: “Is the room with us a luxury or not?”
Another user said: “I love that it means modern luxury isn’t old.”
The United States is in the midst of a housing crisis, and many new homes are targeted at upper-income earners, even though there are too few homes to meet demand.
As a result, countless “luxury” buildings and residences sprang up all over the country. Meanwhile, the housing shortage continues for low-income Americans.
Consumers are also fed up with the number of “luxury” apartments and homes appearing on the market.
On Reddit, one user asked, “Is anyone else fed up with this ‘luxury apartment’ trend?” The poster claimed that the home is actually not luxury at all.
“On every corner, there are newly built cheap, run-of-the-mill luxury apartments, and 1960s apartments and houses that have been ‘renovated’ with white paint and laminate wood floors (to match the new rent prices). ) The brand name has been changed as a luxury item. ),” the user wrote.
