Let’s take a look at what all the hype is about this scalp massage brush on Amazon.
With over 116,000 5-star reviews on Amazon, I couldn’t wait to try this Heeta silicone scalp massager. But after testing, our team came back with mixed feelings. See which team members buy into the hype and which ones aren’t so sure.
You can’t put a price on self-care, so when you can get something this highly rated and affordable, it’s definitely worth a try.
Last year, my hip buddy Bryn and I tried this scalp massager to see what the problem was, and we were pretty underwhelmed at first. But I’m back to report some great team feedback from two other hip buddies about this product and how it has completely changed the way they take care of their hair. ππ»
This scalp massager aims to wash the roots, scrub the scalp more thoroughly, relieve dry and itchy scalp, and improve blood circulation. Plus, the feel should be pretty good too, so who wouldn’t want to try something like this at such a cheap price?!
Other important features that attracted our team to this scalp massager include:
Amazing review. When you have over 115,000 5-star reviews raving about a product, it’s hard to resist. Ergonomic design. Easy to use, lightweight and fits perfectly in your hand. Good for nails. Whether you have thin nails or don’t want to ruin your perfect polish, this scalp massager won’t damage your nails. Some versions are hung to dry. Other scalp massagers we’ve tried come with a handy string so you can hang them in the shower to dry, which is also more hygienic.
So, is this scalp massager really that great?
For my hip buddy Bryn and I, this wasn’t love at first. π We dreamed of using this gadget to get daily scalp massages, but when we tested it, we found there was a bit of a learning curve.
At first, I felt like it wasn’t doing a good enough job of lathering my hair. It tangled easily and had a cheap feel overall. I’m thankful for Amazon Prime’s free returns! ππ»
But…my hip teammate Emily loves this scalp massager!
“After researching ways to get rid of that pesky dandruff that has plagued my scalp for years, I came across this scalp brush as one of the most effective treatments. Oddly enough, Sarah didn’t like this brush. It reminded me of this, but I decided to try it anyway. Plus, I was desperate to get rid of these flakes π.
To my surprise and delight, this scalp massager worked really well.
Especially in conjunction with a dandruff shampoo that you use once a month. I try to scrub my scalp in small circles to avoid getting my hair too tangled. I’ve noticed a little more hair falling out in the shower, but with the actual hairbrush, there’s less dry hair. This means that I feel like I’m loosening weak hair while washing, rather than having it fall out while brushing.
My fiance also loves this scalp brush. Therefore, I am happy to praise this work, although I understand that it is not suitable for everyone.
Oh and ever since I used it, I donβt have dandruff!! π€©β
Emily reminded us that just because one person doesn’t like something doesn’t mean others can’t like it too. ππ» Just like back then, I threw my old Always bread under the bus when I bought Caraway cookware, but recipe blogger Lina also shares how she still loves hers I did.
That being said, if you have dry scalp or damaged hair, you may find that this scalp massager is exactly what you need.
As a side note, we even think this would work wonders for any short-haired dog.
Perfect for scrubbing and very easy to hold when washing your pup, this could be your dog’s new best friend. I don’t have a dog to test it on, but many readers have commented that it works for this purpose as well.
Even our hip readers say they love this piece…
I love me! New hair growth was observed. I also have long hair, and instead of twirling my hair or using it in circular motions, I use short back-and-forth motions of the brush to stimulate my scalp and remove any residue. β Hip Leader, Candy72
I have the same one and have been using it for almost a year. I love it! I wash my hair, use it to massage my scalp after rinsing, and make sure the conditioner is all in. I have very long, thick, curly hair and this was amazing. β Colleen, Hip Leader
My husband uses this on his beard and hair and it works great. he likes it β Tams, Hip Leader
