Green Bay was named the best place to live in Wisconsin, ranking #12 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best Places to Live in America rankings.
For this list, the publication analyzed 150 U.S. cities based on quality of life, job market, value of living and desire to live in the area.
“To be at the top of the list, a location must be a valuable and desirable place to live, with a strong job market and a high quality of life,” the report states.

Two other cities in Wisconsin made the list. Madison was close behind Green Bay in 14th place and Milwaukee was 112th.
