RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 15, 2024) – The Coastal Athletic Association’s 2024-25 season kicks off Thursday with 11 of 20 women’s soccer matches being played during the sport’s lone weekend to kick off fall competition.

Thursday’s 11-game series kicks off with a daytime matchup between perennial mid-major Northeastern contenders, as Hofstra visits MAAC defending champion Quinnipiac (2:30 p.m., ESPN+). The evening games include three teams visiting Power 4 opponents: defending CAA champion Towson opens the season at #RV/23 Virginia (6 p.m., ACCNX), Campbell University travels to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech (6 p.m., ACCNX), and the University of Delaware (which beat Syracuse in the 2023 season opener) travels to Morgantown to face West Virginia (7 p.m., ESPN+). William & Mary will open the year at 2023 Big South champion Radford University (7 p.m., ESPN+), CAA preseason favorite Monmouth University will travel to Philadelphia to face Temple University (7 p.m., ESPN+), Hampton will start the 2024 season at Mount Saint Mary’s University (7 p.m., ESPN+) and UNCW will open the year at Charlotte (7 p.m., ESPN+).
Three league member teams will open the 2024 season at home, with Stony Brook hosting Colgate (6 p.m., FloFC), Charleston welcoming South Carolina State (7 p.m., FloFC) and Elon taking on George Mason (7 p.m., FloFC).
Drexel opens its season on Friday when the Dragons visit St. Joseph’s. Northeastern is the final team to begin its 2024 campaign in one of three games Sunday night as the Huskies cross town to take on Boston University (6 p.m., ESPN+). Hampton (vs. Howard University, 3 p.m., FLO FC) and UNCW (vs. UNCG, 7 p.m., FLO FC) join Campbell at home, while Stony Brook visits Maryland (1 p.m., B1G+) and Delaware heads to defending Patriot League champion Bucknell (1 p.m., ESPN+) to highlight the road schedule.
