Weber State Softball failed to find a winning column in four games with weather this weekend at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California.
WSU’s weekend opening match against the Colombia and Santa Clara caps were both cancelled due to rainy weather.
The Wildcats played Harvard. Harvard played two scheduled games with St. Mary, and the third Sunday with the Gales to replace the lost Santa Clara game.
Freshman Shortstop Sadie Kirk hit a 5 for 5 with five RBIs in three games during his trip.
Weber State (8-20) returns to Utah for Monday’s matchup in Utah Valley and will eventually arrive at the home opener.
The Wildcats are scheduled to host San Diego in three games starting Friday, March 21st, with a doubleheader beginning at 1pm and the series finale continues at noon on Saturday, March 22nd.
Entering the final stretch of non-conference play, Riley Warren leads WSU with an average of .384 batting. Kirk hits .380 and leads the team with 20 RBIs, 20 runs, scores and 11 walks. Kirk, Olivia Birkinshaw and Eva Richardson each attack five Homers.
