1. Value Cheese Puff vs. Cheetos Cheese Puff
Winner: Value Cheese Puff
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
My plus size 5/5 family could hardly tell the difference or chose GV after doing a blindfold taste test. Additionally, several members of Colin’s family actually chose Great Value brand cheese puffs over classic Cheetos.
2. Great value potato crisps vs. Pringles
Winner: Bargain Potato Crisp
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Same size, texture, and color, 4/4 families love CRUNCH, which is thin and crispy like a real Pringle.
Disclaimer: These GV potato chips are great in terms of taste in my book, but I was a little disappointed with how much space was left in the tin when I first opened them. Even more than a can of Pringles?!
With more Pringles in cans, will this make up for the 28 cent price difference? 🙃 You decide!
3. Great value donut shop Ground Coffee vs. Dunkin Donuts Ground Coffee
Winner: Great Value Donut Shop Coffee
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Fragrant colors, not too overpowering, just the right flavor, and almost half the price!?
4. Great Value Frosted Brown Sugar Toaster Pastries vs. Kellogg’s Pop-Tart Brown Sugar
Winner: Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts
Reasons for choosing Kellogg:
More icing Classic “sweet” flavor (GV tastes more artificial and just plain disgusting 😝) No weird spots on the icing
5. Value Chocolate Pudding vs. Snack Chocolate Pudding
Winner: Great Value Chocolate Pudding
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Chocolate is chocolate! 🙌🏼 It’s not a huge price difference, but if you’re making cute treats in the classroom or hosting a party, this small savings is definitely a plus.
6. Great Value Classic Chippers vs. Chips Ahoy
Winner: Great Value Chippers
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Same size Same number of chocolate chips Same crunchiness and sweetness
7. Value Twist & Shout Cookies vs. OREO Cookies
Winner: Nabisco Oreo Sandwich Cookie
Reasons for choosing Nabisco:
Nothing beats that classic OREO taste! Twist & Shout sandwich cookies just scream “school cafeteria food.” None of my three kids, spouse, or I could even finish the entire cookie 😝
8. Great Value Creamy Peanut Butter vs. Skippy Peanut Butter
Winner: Great Value Creamy Peanut Butter
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
As big peanut butter fans as we are, 6 out of 6 of our family members could tell the difference 🙌🏼 Unanimous verdict: GV Creamy Peanut Butter has the same taste, texture, spread and consistency Same! Less calories, saturated fat, and sodium per serving. 🏆
9. Value Hazelnut Spread and Nutella Spread
Winner: Great Value Hazelnut Spread
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
The taste is so accurate that your taste buds won’t be able to tell the difference. Smooth texture and not too sweet hazelnut flavor
10. Great value Honey Nut O’s vs. Honey Nut Cheerios
Winner: Draw!
Through this taste test, if the two brands tasted pretty much the same, we’ve clearly chosen Great Value as the winner to give you the most savings 💰!
However, in this case, the Great Value Honey Nut Cheerios didn’t taste better or the same, but they tasted just as good as regular Cheerios (i.e. the original toasted oat Cheerios ). In that case, we think it’s worth saving more than $2 on the classic cereal that kids know and love. Still quite tasty. 🙌🏼
11. Great Value Frosted Flakes Cereal vs. Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal
Winner: Great Value Frosted Flakes
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
According to my 21-year-old brother and father, it’s tastier and sweeter (I’ve eaten many bowls of Frosted Flakes 😉) 3 out of 3 kids also chose GV over real Frosted Flakes! 🏆
12. Value Macaroni & Cheese vs. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
Winner: Great Value Original Macaroni & Cheese
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Noodles of the same size and shape were generously cheesy and totally charmed the kids (and fooled me)!
This is a great deal as you can buy two GV boxes for less than the price of one craft box. Please stock up.
13. Great Value Cheese Frozen Pizza vs DiGiorno Cheese Frozen Pizza
Winner: Great Value Frozen Cheese Pizza
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
DiGiornio’s less brown and burnt melted cheese heaven passed through my picky pizza-loving kid’s palate!
14. Value Flaky Biscuits vs. Pillsbury Grand! flaky layers original biscuit
Winner: Great value flake biscuits
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Same size and thickness, perfect golden color
15. Great value cinnamon rolls vs. Pillsbury Grand! cinnamon roll
Winner: Great Value Original Cinnamon Roll
Never in my 29 years of life would I have imagined that someone could top Pillsbury…but here we are.
My honest truth: bargain cinnamon rolls actually taste better.
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
It’s more swirly than Pillsbury icing and comes in an easy-to-squeeze pouch. Sweeter, more cinnamon flavor
16. Value Apple Juice vs. Tree Top Apple Juice
Winner: Great Value Apple Juice
Reasons for choosing Great Value:
Same golden color, delicious taste
17. Bargain Garlic Knot vs New York Bakery Garlic Knot
Winner: Great Value Garlic Knot

Same size, same garlic butter flavor
