Brian Ronning is eager to bring Voodoo Brewing to downtown Delafield, but he doesn’t want residents to be able to drink a cold glass of Good Vibes (a sweet West Coast IPA) or Thunder Lizard (an imperial IPA). We’ll have to wait a few more months for that to happen.
Voodoo Brewing will be one of the commercial tenants at The Grain, a four-story mass timber building at 705 Genesee St., and Ronning said the space is currently undergoing finishing touches. It is said that there is. He hopes to open Voodoo Brewing in early 2025.
Founded in 2005 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Voodoo Brewing Co. has since expanded to locations across the United States, with its first location in Wisconsin. This beer will continue to be brewed in Pennsylvania.
Roning, who is opening the Delafield location with his parents Bruce and Donna Roning, said Voodoo Brewing will offer “above-the-class beer and food.”
The initial interior setup will include a large table for community seating. Ronning said he wants people to come over, hang out and meet their neighbors. Customers order from the bar or use a QR code and a table runner brings it to them. However, Ronning said his location will be determined by the community, so feedback will be taken into account and settings may change.
The menu is still being worked out, but Ronning said it will feature appetizers, chicken wings, pizza, burgers and sandwiches, as well as healthier options such as a salmon bowl with quinoa and salad. There will be a fish fry on Fridays.
There are 20 taps including Voodoo beer plus local beers to wash it all down. Mixed drink options are available if you have a full liquor license.
