Bismarck – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture and the North Dakota Agricultural Association will host a series of statewide anhydrous ammonia safety training sessions.
“Early documented safety training is required for anyone who handles, relocates, transports or otherwise works with anhydrous ammonia in storage facilities,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Gehring. “These training sessions meet state requirements and participants will receive a certificate of completion.”
The training session includes a presentation on the chemical properties and health hazards of anhydrous ammonia. Tank care, inspection and maintenance for facilities and nurses. Regulation updates listing several topics.
The training session is planned in Valley City at Americinn, Wyndham, from 9:30am on March 26th. Other training sessions will take place in Dickinson on March 4th, in Minot on March 5th, in Devils Lake on March 25th and in Fargo on March 27th.
