Four programs offered by Virginia Commonwealth University made U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Online Programs for 2025.

We honor our program graduates who exemplify this and their impact.”
The publication’s annual list, released today, included two online programs from the VCU School of Education. VCU tied for 27th place in the category of Best Online Master’s Degrees in Education Programs, up from 45th place in 2024. U.S. News also ranked VCU a tie for 14th best online master’s degrees in special education programs.

Rudashill. “The VCU School of Education offers innovative and flexible programs that provide graduates with the tools and knowledge to respond to the evolving needs of students, schools, and communities.Addressing critical challenges in education Because of this, several of these online education master’s programs are eligible for VCU Educator Rates, which offer significant tuition savings to in-state and out-of-state students.
VCU College of Engineering ranks No. 22 on the Best Online Engineering Master’s Programs list, up 30 spots from No. 52 in 2024.

We were able to help eliminate or minimize debt upon graduation.”
VCU Business School was ranked No. 65 in the Best Online Master’s in MBA program category.
U.S. News & World Report has ranked online higher education programs for the past 13 years. For the 2025 edition, the publication evaluated approximately 1,780 degree-granting programs that offer primarily online classes required to earn a degree.
Including the new online program rankings, VCU currently has 23 graduate programs ranked in the U.S. News Top 50.
