The ranking evaluated hospitals across the country after receiving submissions from 817 hospitals. In the end, approximately 400 hospitals in Japan received the designation.
In News 5’s coverage area, the following hospitals received the designation:

The rating was determined after evaluating hospitals using core obstetric and perinatal care data, such as procedures, condition assessments, and patient outcomes, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola officials said in a news release that the rankings demonstrate the hard work the hospital has accomplished.
“This award recognizes the dedication of our talented team and the impact their work provides families during these vulnerable times,” said Will Condon, President and CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. “It reflects the impact of the current situation,” he said. “We are committed to ensuring healthy outcomes for mothers and babies and are honored to receive this award.”
