Odyssey Magellan Magnet School in Appleton has been named the best elementary school in Wisconsin, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 rankings.
The publication analyzed 47,573 elementary schools across the United States for this year’s edition of its annual rankings. Schools were rated by the number of students who scored proficient or above on the math and reading/language arts state assessments.
Half of the formulas in this publication evaluate test scores themselves, and the other half incorporate test results in the context of socio-economic demographics. There are no national rankings. Rankings are calculated at the state and district level.
