PITTSBURGH — Several hospitals in the Allegheny Health Network earn high marks for obstetric care, with UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital ranked top among all obstetrics and gynecology hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Maternity Hospital Care report released Tuesday. Ranked 25.
UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital ranks 24th in the nation for obstetrics and gynecology. The hospital in Auckland has the country’s largest neonatal intensive care unit and approximately 10,000 babies are born each year. UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital has more than 300 beds.
Highly rated for uncomplicated pregnancy-related obstetric care were AHN West Penn Hospital, AHN Wexford Hospital, and AHN Jefferson Hospital. AHN West Penn Hospital also ranks 50th out of 4,855 obstetrics and gynecology hospitals in the United States, according to U.S. News data.
