US News says it will release a highly controversial MBA ranking on April 8th, which will be closely monitored and 2025.
Last year, Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School shared the highest honors in the 2024 News MBA Rankings for the 2024 US Best MBA Program. MIT’s Sloan Management School came in fifth place.
The updated US News MBA rankings have not changed the calculation method. “There are limited changes to how some ranking factors are calculated, but this edition does not feature completely new ranking factors in multifactor rankings, as well as changes in how those factors are weighted,” according to US News.
To minimize errors in US news MBA rankings, the publication said it would share rankings and statistical analysis with schools prior to publication. “As an additional procedural step in this year’s rankings using statistical survey data, the school was given a second opportunity to review the survey submitted after recalling the survey questions and provided a draft trunk using the data provided first,” the news added. “This step was done so that the school could detect reported issues well before it was published.”
