CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Movies with a luxurious twist are returning to Governors Square Mall in Clarksville, Tennessee.
On Wednesday, city officials announced a new partnership with Phoenix Theatre.
The independent movie theater has signed a long-term lease to bring new movies and high-quality amenities to Governors Square Mall by as early as summer 2025.
Michigan-based Phoenix Theaters plans to invest $5 million in renovating an existing theater in Clarksville, which has already been approved.
The 42,312 square foot building will feature:

Self-service Pepsi and Butter Station that integrates ticketing and discount purchases in one line
The Clarksville location is the Phoenix Theater’s 79th screen and its first location in Tennessee.
The independent movie theater has existing locations in Michigan, Iowa, Massachusetts and Ohio.
