AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — University at Buffalo student-athletes now have a new place to work out and train.
The school held a grand opening ceremony for its new Brittany Marchie Mura Sports Performance Center on Thursday.
The new state-of-the-art facility will serve all of UB’s student-athletes on 14 varsity teams and provide a place to enhance their training experience.
The new Sports Performance Center is made possible through the continued support of Tanny and Deanna Murchy. This time, we’re representing their daughter, Brittany Murchie, who is an avid athlete.

Highlights of the new multi-level Brittany Murchie Mura Sports Performance Center include:

“This new Performance Center is the ultimate difference-maker. It gives us the tools to maximize our potential in a way we weren’t able to do before,” said UB linebacker Sean Dolak. says.
UB women’s basketball guard Kirsten Lewis said, “This training facility will provide a competitive advantage for all teams in the MAC and we are proud to be a part of it and look forward to using it. “It’s a beautiful facility that we’re proud to have.” -Williams
The new facility is part of more than $1.6 billion in construction planned for the UB campus over the next 10 years. It is directly connected to Murchie Family Fieldhouse on UB’s North Campus.
