It’s the start of a new year for college sports at UNCW.
The 2023-24 school year was a strong one for the Seahawks, winning four Coastal Athletic Association titles and countless individual awards.
Below is a list of attendance totals and ticket revenues for UNCW’s five major sports programs for the 2023-24 academic year.

UNCW men’s basketball ticket sales 2023-24: $649,349
Not surprisingly, UNCW men’s basketball is the university’s marquee sports program, and Seahawks fans have packed Trask Coliseum more often than any other sport at the school thanks to their success on the court in recent years.
UNCW announced it sold 63,445 men’s basketball tickets for the 2023-2024 school year, bringing in total revenue of nearly $650,000, which represents more than 75% of the university’s athletic department’s total revenue from game ticket sales.
UNCW baseball ticket sales 2023-24: $154,455
The Seahawks won their second consecutive Coastal Athletic Association championship title in May and advanced to the NCAA baseball tournament for the third time in five years.
The success led to 40,997 tickets sold at Brooks Field this spring, generating total sales of $154,455.
UNCW women’s basketball ticket sales 2023-24: $21,150
The UNCW women’s basketball team began a rebuild last year under new coach Nicole Woods and finished the season with a 5-25 record. Despite the struggles, the team sold 12,093 tickets and generated more than $21,000 in revenue.

In total, UNCW generated $855,010 in total ticket revenue for the 2023-24 school year. The school’s combined attendance for its five major sports exceeded 132,000.
These figures only account for ticket sales and attendance. Other sources of revenue, such as fundraisers, donations and concessions, can significantly increase the revenue for each program.
