According to U.S. News & World Report, the University of Georgia ranks among the top 20 public universities. Georgia has been ranked in the top 20 for nine consecutive years. UGA ranks as the No. 18 public school in the nation.
Georgia State ranks 46th (tied) among national universities. Georgia State currently enrolls 31,514 undergraduate students.
“We wanted to recognize the University of Georgia once again being recognized as a top public institution in the nation by U.S. News and World Report,” Georgia football coach Kirby Smart said. “We are fortunate to be part of one of the top public universities in the country and consistently ranked in the top 20.”
“We sell ourselves on our aggressive recruiting efforts. It’s definitely a great academic institution, and we’re lucky to be a part of it. Much of the credit goes to our administration, President Morehead, and I. Our faculty, our students,” Smart said.
