Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital is ranked No. 2 in Illinois, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 study.
Comer Children’s has been recognized as the No. 2 children’s hospital in the state for four consecutive years. Since U.S. News introduced regional rankings of children’s hospitals, the hospital has maintained an exceptional record of care. The latest survey also ranked Comer Children’s 17th in the Midwest, up three spots from last year.
Comer Children’s is nationally recognized in four areas of expertise:
Behavioral Health, Cancer Top 50, 33 Neurology and Neurosurgery, 37 Urology, 49
U.S. News debuted behavioral health as a pediatric specialty in this year’s survey, giving all of its top 50 programs equal ratings.

To measure clinical outcomes, quality of patient care and other factors, U.S. News collected and analyzed data from more than 100 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists.
