For the fourth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named UVA Health Children’s, part of UVA Health, the No. 1 children’s hospital in Virginia.
The publication’s 2024-2025 “Best Children’s Hospitals” guide ranks eight of UVA Health’s pediatric specialties in the top 50 nationally. The eight specialties ranked are:
Neonatology (infant critical care): 26 days Pediatric nephrology (kidney care): 28 days Pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery: 33 days Pediatric gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery (gastrointestinal diseases): 43 days Pediatric pulmonology and Pulmonary Surgery: 43 days Pediatric Orthopedics: 46 days Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery: 48 days Diabetes and Endocrinology: 49th place

The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals guide recognizes hospitals that provide excellent care for children with the most severe or complex medical needs. The publication’s criteria include patient outcomes, patient safety, and access to specialty clinics and programs, along with a national survey of pediatric specialists.
