Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, defended a vote in support of Robert F. Kennedy’s appointment as Democrats denounced new cabinet members over past anti-vaccine comments.
“Every president deserves a team,” Graham said in a statement. “We look forward to working with RFK JR to improve the quality of life and health of America.”
Graham and 51 other Senate Republicans joined all Senate Democrats in opposition to his confirmation, pushing Kennedy’s nomination to the finish line.

Progressive lawmakers are covering the blueprint of House Republicans’ newly released budgets.
At a press conference hosted by a billionaire group family this morning, Rep. Greg Cassal, a Texas Democrat and chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said the Republican proposal was “from working-class Americans.” “It’s theft of the stolen.” -rich”.
“Hospital Republicans will be taking medical care and food from those who need it to give billionaires a massive tax credit,” Kasar said. “Republicans choose to fight working Americans, and I think that’s destined for Republicans to lose.”
Given a razor-like majority of Republicans, they will move forward with budget proposals as hard-working lawmakers demand more spending cuts and Democrats appear to be united against the plan. It remains very unknown if this can be done.

The White House said its goal is that between 5% and 10% of federal workers are accepting the acquisition, which would amount to hundreds of thousands of acquisitions.
Still, White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt commented to reporters in a brief comment Thursday morning, after the Human Resources Administration announced that 75,000 federal employees had accepted the offer to buy, according to the White House. It seemed to be saying, “It hit the number we wanted.”
“It’s going to save millions of dollars for American taxpayers, and that’s exactly what we wanted,” Leavitt said.
On Wednesday, a federal judge lifted a suspension on a program called “Road Fork” after unions representing federal employees sued the Trump administration for lack of status.
The acquisition offer was sent to 2.3 million employees working for the federal government. People working for the military or the US Postal Service have been excluded from the program.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, attacked a Republican colleague and confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the next secretary to the Department of Health and Human Services.
“It’s a big mistake to have Kennedy take charge of public health for the public,” Warren said in a new statement.
“If dangerous diseases resurface and people have no access to life-saving vaccines, all Americans will suffer. And thanks to his serious, unresolved conflict of interest, the RFK JR family has said he will be able to make a difference. While in office, I was able to continue to be richer from his anti-vaccine crusades.”
Warren raised serious concerns about Kennedy’s potential conflict of interest during his confirmation hearing, but all Senate Republicans except for Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell still support his nomination. Ta.
