Donald Trump has been receiving widespread backlash after comparing it to the “king” of social media following the administration’s decision to withdraw New York City’s crowd pricing program.
It concluded a traffic department agreement with New York on a new crowd pricing program for Manhattan, following a letter issued by his Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday. Trump wrote about the true society.
“Crowded pricing is dead. All Manhattan and New York are saved. Long live the king!”

In response to Trump’s comments, Hochul issued a statement saying, “We are a country of law that is not ruled by the King.” She added: “Public transport is the lifeline of New York City and is important for our economy’s future. As New Yorkers, like President Trump, know well.”
She went on to add that the city’s metropolitan transport has launched legal proceedings in the Southern District of New York to preserve the program.

In another speech to the reporter Wednesday, Hochul said: “New York has not worked under the King for over 250 years. We are sure that hell will not begin now… If you don’t know New Yorkers, we will fight. We are not now and not retreat.”
New York City Council member Justin Brannan also condemned Trump’s statement, referring to the Trump-appointed Justice Department, which ordered prosecutors to drop the federal corruption case against city mayor Eric Adams.

Additionally, when the White House shared a photo of Trump, Illinois Democratic Gov. J.B. Pretzker gave a state speech he said. America does not have a king. Don’t bend your knees to one. ”
