People around the world joined in protest against Elon Musk and his attempts to dismantle the US federal government on Saturday, gathering outside Tesla showrooms from Australia to Switzerland and California.
The protest organizers asked people to do three things: They don’t buy Tesla, sell Tesla stocks, or take part in the “Tesla Takedown” movement. “To hurt Tesla is stopping musk,” reads one of the group’s taglines. “Stoping musk helps save lives and our democracy.”
The world’s wealthiest Musk leads Donald Trump’s so-called “Doctor of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
Thousands of people are taking part in rebel protests all over the world
With over 200 events planned around the world, the protests kicked off at noon in front of the Tesla showrooms in Australia and New Zealand, then rippled across Europe in countries such as Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands and the UK.
Each rally was organized locally with an original theme. In Ireland it was “destroying the fash” and Switzerland was “down with the Doge.”
