Donald Trump held a rally in Juneau, Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon, demanding he give an “apology” in 60 minutes.
President Trump withdrew from the interview on Tuesday, just before the vice presidential debate on CBS, the same network that airs 60 Minutes.
Earlier this week, CBS said the Trump campaign told CNN that the interview was never “locked in” and that the president agreed to the interview, even though the network “insisted that the interview be omitted for fact-finding purposes.” said.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has appeared in interviews this week with 60 Minutes, The View, late night host Stephen Colbert, and radio host Howard Stern, with 30 days left until Election Day. In order to respond to this, they plan to launch an onslaught of attacks on the media.
In a preview of the 60 Minutes interview, Harris was pressed about the relationship between the United States and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, nearly a year after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, but she mostly dodged the question.
Trump’s Wisconsin rally comes a day after he held a false event at a venue in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he survived an assassination attempt just three months ago. At Saturday’s rally, he suggested that his political opponents “maybe tried to kill me.”

Trump returned to Butler three months after the attempt on his life. But has he changed since then?
On Saturday, President Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of his first assassination attempt.
Since the July 13 attacks, the political landscape has completely changed.
The ear bandage has come off, he has been nominated as the Republican nominee and faces a new and formidable rival, but it’s been three months since the former president had an attempt on his life not once, but twice. In particular, nothing about him seems to have changed. It has fundamentally changed.

On Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin, President Trump challenged the network’s fact-checking of Hunter Biden’s laptop and crime rates and called on the show to “apologize.”
Kamala Harris will appear on Monday’s election special.
Trump’s campaign has denied giving the interview, but CBS claims he agreed to the interview but withdrew it on Tuesday.

Donald Trump speaks in Wisconsin
Speaking in Juneau, Wisconsin, on Sunday afternoon, Donald Trump boasted that he had achieved “the greatest economy in history” during his term.
He boasted about the large crowd and said he likes to put “fake news” reporters at the back of the venue.
He called his Democratic rival a “long nightmare” but promised a “golden era” if reelected.

Many members of Trump’s party still do not accept that he lost the last election.
Many Republicans still have a hard time admitting out loud that Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.
Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson are the latest Republicans to say Trump lost the election.
Cotton was pressed by Kristen Welker on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday and was given multiple opportunities to “calm down” the issue.

Thom Tillis confronts misinformation in Hurricane Helen recovery
Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina took aim at his own party.
Republican lawmakers, including Donald Trump, are pushing false claims about recovery efforts for Hurricane Helen survivors.
“The last thing Helen’s victims need right now is politics, blame, and conspiracy theories that will only undermine response efforts,” he wrote.
Trump’s politicization of the hurricane response not only angered Tillis, but North Carolina’s second-largest newspaper.

Lara Trump pressured by CNN’s Dana Bash over FEMA misinformation
CNN’s Dana Bash presses Lara Trump after her father-in-law Donald Trump repeated false claims about FEMA aid directed to Hurricane Helen survivors.
Referring to the Biden-Harris administration, the former president falsely claimed at Saturday night’s Butler rally: “They are giving $750 to people whose homes have been washed away. Yet we are sending tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries that most people have never heard of. 750. They were destroyed, and so were these people.”
Earlier this week, the Republican candidate baselessly claimed that Kamala Harris spent all of her FEMA money on “housing illegal immigrants who shouldn’t be in our country.”
In fact, the White House has made it clear that survivors will initially receive $750 after applying for the Serious Assistance program. In addition, survivors may be eligible for additional financial assistance from FEMA, such as repairing storm damage to homes and property, finding a temporary place to stay, and compensation for lost crops and livestock. Click here for details.
Bash asked North Carolina native Lara Trump if she was “concerned” about the spread of misinformation and how it would affect her ability to seek help. “Look, Kamala Harris just said $750 per family,” she said, before comparing the amount spent on the “immigration crisis.”
“It’s true that FEMA is receiving $750, but that’s a first step,” Bash explained.

Harris talks about Israel relations in new interview
Kamala Harris will discuss the relationship between the United States and Israel in a CBS 60 Minutes interview scheduled to air Monday.
Harris was asked by Bill Whitaker whether the White House lacked influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Thanks to the assistance we gave to Israel, Israel was able to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles intended to attack Israelis and Israelis,” Harris said.
“When we think about the threat that Hamas Hezbollah poses to Iran, I think it’s definitely our responsibility to do everything we can to help Israel protect itself from that kind of attack.”
