Tracy Morgan had to get her wheelchair out of Madison Square Garden during a New York Knicks game Monday night after the comedian appeared to vomit on the floor while sitting courtside.
A 10-minute pause was made in the third quarter of the game between the Knicks and the Miami Heat to clean something off the floor. The delay was caused by Morgan, a New York native and one of the Knicks’ biggest celebrity fans, who reportedly vomited on hardwoods. In a video filmed by fans present, Morgan was seen delivering a wheelchair from the arena trying to stop a nosebleed with a towel.
Morgan’s representatives did not immediately respond to Variety’s request for comment.
“I hope Tracy will feel better soon and look forward to seeing him return to courtside,” a representative from Madison Square Garden told people following the incident.
The cause of the incident is currently unknown, but this is not the comedian’s first major health horror. In 2010, Morgan received a life-saving kidney transplant, and in 2014, his limousine was attacked by a tractor trailer on a New Jersey Turnpike.
“The accident was when everyone realized how much they cared about him,” said “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels in 2018, when Morgan received the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It was someone we didn’t want to lose. When he came back (to host ‘Saturday Night Live’), the audience would have continued to praise him when he went outside. They were happy just to have him back. ”
Morgan will be appearing alongside Daniel Radcliffe in NBC’s untitled singles comedy pilot. The official logline states, “The disgraceful former footballer (Morgan) is on a mission to rehabilitate his image.”
