Beaverton International School has been named the best public high school in Oregon, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings.
In an analysis of 25,000 public high schools nationwide, 348 schools ranked in Oregon.
High schools were evaluated on college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.
“These are combined with district- and state-level statistics, information on each school’s student population and enrollment, Title I status, and other distinguishing characteristics for comparative purposes,” the report states.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the top 25 high schools in Oregon are:
1. Beaverton International School
International School of Beaverton ranks #1 in Oregon and #40 in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 431 students. The graduation rate is 99% and the college readiness score is 94.4.
2. Grant High School
Grant High School in Portland ranked second in Oregon and 322nd in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 2,156 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 55.0.
3. Beaverton Academy of Science and Engineering
Beaverton Academy of Science and Technology in Hillsboro ranked No. 3 in Oregon and No. 553 nationally with an estimated enrollment of 442 students. IIT has a 100% graduation rate and a college readiness score of 45.8.
4. Lake Oswego High School
Lake Oswego High School ranks 4th in Oregon and 715th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,245 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 59.5.
5. Cleveland High School
Cleveland High School in Portland ranked No. 5 in Oregon and No. 746 in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,547 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 49.3.
6. Corbett High School
Corbett High School in Corbett is ranked 6th in Oregon and 957th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 324 students. The graduation rate is 89% and the college readiness score is 67.2.
7. Mountainside High School
Mountainside High School in Beaverton ranks 7th in Oregon and 1,072nd in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,758 students. The graduation rate is 95% and the college readiness score is 37.8.
8. Lakeridge High School
Lake Ridge High School in Lake Oswego is ranked 8th in Oregon and 1,124th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,234 students. The graduation rate is 97% and the college readiness score is 59.0.
9. South Eugene High School
South Eugene High School in Eugene is ranked 9th in Oregon and 1,203rd in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,505 students. Graduation rate is 90% and college readiness score is 38.0.
10. Lincoln High School
Lincoln High School in Portland ranks 10th in Oregon and 1,248th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,525 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 43.2.
11. Sherwood High School
Sherwood High School in Sherwood ranks 11th in Oregon and 1,285th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,704 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 43.9.
12. West Linn High School
West Linn High School in West Linn ranks 12th in Oregon and 1,295th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,905 students. The graduation rate is 96% and the college readiness score is 56.0.
13. Westview High School
Westview High School in Portland ranks 13th in Oregon and 1,372nd in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 2,442 students. The graduation rate is 89% and the college readiness score is 36.4.

Ontario’s Four Rivers Community School ranks 14th in Oregon and 1,536th in the nation, with an estimated enrollment of 104 students. The graduation rate is 93% and the college readiness score is 65.0.

Summit High School in Bend ranks 15th in Oregon and 1,631st in the nation, with an estimated enrollment of 1,444 students. The graduation rate is 96% and the college readiness score is 55.9.
16. Art & Communication Magnet Academy
Beaverton’s Arts and Communication Magnet Academy ranks 16th in Oregon and 1,698th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 369 students. The graduation rate is 94% and the college readiness score is 41.9.
17. Mountain View High School
Mountain View High School in Bend ranks 17th in Oregon and 1,966th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,221 students. The graduation rate is 87% and the college readiness score is 40.0.
18. Enterprise High School
Enterprise High School, located in Enterprise, is ranked 18th in Oregon and 2,212th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 135 students. The graduation rate is 81% and the college readiness score is 38.6.
19. Baker Early College
Baker Early College in Baker City is ranked 19th in Oregon and 2,335th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 427 students. Graduation rate is 93%.
20. Wilsonville High School
Wilsonville High School in Wilsonville is ranked 20th in Oregon and 2,706th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 1,269 students. The graduation rate is 93% and the college readiness score is 50.9.
21. St. Paul High School
St. Paul High School in St. Paul is ranked 21st in Oregon and 2,768th in the nation with an estimated enrollment of 102 students. The graduation rate is 100% and the college readiness score is 42.4.
