The situation for Tom Brady-Matthew Stafford lived his own life on Wednesday.
Details surfaced that Brady hosted Stafford at a Montana ski resort after reports revealed that he was in touch with the Los Angeles Rams quarterback in an attempt to plead with Las Vegas to play for the Raiders. Counter reports then revealed that Brady definitely “hosted” anyone, and the meeting between the two quarterbacks was just one opportunity.
Wednesday night brought something similar to the decisive conclusion of the matter as Brady’s longtime agent Don Yi issued a clear statement about exactly what happened.
“I know that reporters sometimes rush to make mistakes, but this story is inaccurate,” Yee told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero when asked if Brady had hosted Stafford.
That solves that. Brady just happened to meet Stafford while Stafford’s agents spoke to teams around the league to measure his trading value.
Stafford’s status for the 2025 season is becoming one of the most interesting aspects of this year’s NFL offseason.
