Tom Aspinall put aside his “sour grapes” against Jon Jones for a realistic analysis of the main event of UFC 309 vs. Stipe Miocic.
Despite repeated efforts to get Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) and Miocic (20-4 MMA, 14-4 UFC) to fight him, interim champion Aspinall ( MMA 15 wins, 3 losses, UFC (8-1) will be on the sidelines as the heavyweight title fight goes down in Saturday’s headliner at New York’s Madison Square Garden (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPNews, ESPN+).
It’s tough for Aspinall to even pick a winner, but he still puts on his analyst hat and digs into the Jones vs. Miocic matchup on TNT Sports’ “Tom Aspinall’s Fight Lab.”
Aspinall utilized video highlights and in-person demonstrations to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of both champions and challengers heading into the event.
