4. Get more money when ordering French pre-spots.
Selected Starbucks locations offer coffee from French press. Mine isn’t, but your local Starbucks might just be. If so, consider getting a pot. You pay less per ounce of this style of coffee than ordering a specialized drink.
5. Visit Starbucks during Happy Hour and get cheap Starbucks drinks.
Happy Hour is back at most Starbucks locations! To save on your favorite drinks, look for these offers near you:
Choice for Thursdays – Bogo’s deals are some homemade drinks from 2pm to 7pm.
6. Go easily on ice.
When ordering ice drinks, make sure there are no ice or light ice (note that this can occur with a $1 upcharge). Ice Cubes will feature lots of rooms in your cup. You can always order ice and add the amount you want yourself.
Do you really like a drink with full ice? Try this! Order a hot version of your drink and ask for a cup with ice. You still get the amount of ice you want and the actual amount of coffee you ordered!
7. When ordering tea, ask for “no water.”
Order tea from Starbucks and you can add water to make it stronger. If you want a full flavour of tea, ask your barista “no water” the next time you order your favorite brew. Please note that this can happen with a $1 upcharge.
8. Save 10 cents to earn 25 stars when using reusable Starbucks cups or when bringing in your own mug.
Help with your environment, save yourself, and earn 25 stars if you bring your own cup. You can also use Starbucks reusable cups or take your own from home. One YouTuber brought in the Mega Cup and Starbucks met it to the top for just $5. 🤯
9. Reduce costs and split your bench or trenter with friends.
If you and your friends were both planning on getting tall coffee, then instead spring for one venti or trenta. Just ask the barista for the extra cups and you can split the larger sizes on the table. You save a lot. This YouTuber even managed to take out four small drinks from one huge trenta!
I love the vanilla wheat cream cold brew. I order a bench and then save half the next day. This is basically like getting two tall sized drinks for a total of about $5. You can get even more by ordering without ice and adding your own! – Hip leader, Jesse
10. According to readers, you can’t get the wrong idea of a brewed coffee as any base!
When redeeming the stars, start with brewed coffee as a base instead of homemade drinks. From there you can add all the syrup, espresso, cream and toppings you need (you can get it for 100 stars instead of 150)!
The trick I’ve done for a while now is 50 stars (to be 100 soon) to get my brewed coffee. You can use these points to order Cafe Mist and add all your custom items, such as syrup, sauces, toppings and more. I like to do this when the PSL comes. Add pumpkin sauce and PSL toppings to add PSL tastes like PSL, but only 50 points! – Hip leader, Jessica V.
11. Check if your location is willing to offer military or advanced discounts.
Last November, Starbucks discounted Veterans, Active Service Members and Military Spouses on Veterans Day. If you’re part of the military or are, keep an eye on similar promotions next year!
Starbucks does not appear to have a company-wide policy on daily military and advanced discounts. However, it is not harmful to ask when ordering. If your local Starbucks are happy, you might just get a 10% off.

Many websites tell you to save money by purchasing a short size of 8 ounces. I disagree! Near me, shorts only save you a dime and get 4 ounces. He’s short. Furthermore, in many cases, tall and short materials vary slightly.
Take a look at these examples!
The short Cafe Yono only has one shot of espresso. The taller size comes with two shots of espresso. Until caffeine, they say they pay to pay 10 cents, to pay 10 cents, to pay 10 cents.
If you’re getting a drip coffee or a cafe latte, the tall and short ingredients are exactly the same. If you want to save that dime, don’t worry about having fewer ounces. This may be the option you want to consider.
18. Get your money back when you scan your receipts to a cashback app like Fetch Rewards.
