Trump and Musk will join the wrestling championship in their latest appearance together outside of Doge. The NCAA Wrestling Championship is a major university event with top national wrestlers.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk appear to have a new common interest that is not government efficiency: wrestling.
The president and Tesla CEOs together in Philadelphia on Saturday will feature top wrestlers from across the country, the NCAA Division 1 wrestling championship and the annual college tournament.
Trump entered the Wells Fargo Center and shook hands with several members of the crowd, almost cheering before the “America” round rang.
Outside the arena, dozens of protesters gathered along Pattison Avenue to hold signs that they would “save our democracy” and “no fascist.”
Wyatt Hendrickson beat Olympic gold medalist and two-time champion Gable Steveson to win the NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling Championship.

In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Trump said he “always support wrestlers.”
“The NCAA Wrestling Heavyweight Championship match was an amazing battle between two super talented men!” Musk said in the X-Post Sunday.
It’s the latest public appearance of the pair together outside of government efficiency, or Musk’s work for Doge.
They both joined UFC 309 at Madison Square Gardens in November after winning the Trump election.
Earlier that month, Musk played golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, according to a social media post from the president’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. She captioned the post that said, “Eron has achieved her uncle position.”
Trump also attended the launch of SpaceX Rocket, and recently promoted Tesla cars in front of the White House alongside the mask.
Their alliance was without a backlash against Doge’s widespread layoffs and unemployment across the government, not a withdrawal of funds in some sectors.
