The Ritz-Carlton, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marriott International, has expanded its portfolio with the opening of a new luxury hotel in Morocco, The Ritz-Carlton Rabat Dar es Salaam.
Set amid 440 hectares of forest and gardens, the hotel is close to the Royal Golf Dar es Salaam and features three 45-hole golf courses.
Helen Layton, vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International Luxury Brands, said: “The opening of The Ritz-Carlton Rabat Dar es Salaam marks an important milestone for the Ritz-Carlton brand, expanding our footprint on the African continent and celebrating our first hotel in Morocco.
“Our guests can expect the brand’s legendary service, luxurious interiors and a stunning natural setting that creates a luxurious and tranquil sanctuary in the heart of Rabat.”
The hotel has 100 rooms and 17 suites, each with a private terrace overlooking the pool and gardens, as well as a 180-square-meter Royal Suite.
The Ritz-Carlton Rabat Dar es Salaam offers a variety of dining options, a range of outdoor spaces, spa facilities and a glass-roofed indoor pool.
Additionally, the hotel will have a fitness centre, 2,200 square metres of outdoor event space and 454 square metres of indoor event space across three rooms.
In July, Marriott International signed a deal to open the UAE’s first Ritz-Carlton Reserve on Ramhan Island in Abu Dhabi.
The Ritz-Carlton brand currently operates more than 110 hotels in more than 35 countries and territories.
