Chamblee, Georgia – Regal Cinema Hollywood 24 in Chambly is reportedly closing after 25 years in business.
More than 37 acres of land along Interstate 85 has been listed for sale by real estate firm CBRE, Tomorrow’s News Today reports.
The outlet reported, citing real estate sources, that the theater is scheduled to close in October.
“Proximity to Interstates 85 and 285 makes the site well suited for multifamily, commercial and potentially industrial development. The 100,488-square-foot, two-story stone building could be repurposed for self-storage or other uses,” CBRE’s listing states.
The property also lists more than 1,300 parking spaces and is close to the new Children’s Medical Center of Atlanta, Arthur M. Blank Hospital and several film production facilities.
The cinema opened in May 1999, replacing the North 85 Twin Drive-In.
Following the closure of Cinema Hollywood 24, Real will be left with 13 theaters in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
