The NFL awarded 15 teams a total of 35 compensatory choices in the 2025 draft, the league announced Tuesday.
The Vikings (97th overall), Dolphins (98th overall), Giants (99th), 49ers (100th), Rams (101st) and Lions (102nd) received their third pick.
The Ravens, Cowboys and Dolphins each receive four most compensatory picks, while the Charger, 49ers and Seahawks each have three additional options.
The Bill, Browns, Chiefs and Raiders each will win two compensation picks, while the Packers, Vikings and Giants will see additional choices.
Under the rules for selection of compensation drafts, teams will lose more or less compensation free agents (“CFAs”) than they acquired the previous year.
Compensation picks are placed within the third to seventh round based on the value of the lost compensatory liberal agent.
Compensation agents are determined by formulas based on salary, playing time and postseason honors. The formula was developed by the NFL Management Council.
In addition to the 32 compensation options awarded under the Net Loss Ceremony, special compensation options were awarded to the 49ers, Rams and Lions under the 2020 amendment of the league’s collective bargaining agreement. The agreement promotes equal employment opportunities and an inclusive workforce within NFL clubs, and encourages teams to develop and promote minority talent in general manager and head coach positions.
The next 2025 compensation pick was awarded to the 2025 draft in Green Bay from April 24-26.
