The Beverly Hills mansion that has been linked to the Menendez brothers in the past has been in the news quite a bit again in recent weeks.
The multi-million dollar home came into the spotlight after new Netflix content centered around the Menendez brothers, Lyle and Eric, and the 1989 murder of their parents became popular on the streaming platform. .

Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, a nine-episode drama starring Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, debuted on Netflix’s streaming platform in September.
The production quickly became popular, becoming the most-watched English-language television series for the weeks ending September 22 and September 29, according to Netflix’s Global Top 10 webpage. In the week ending October 6, it was watched over 15.9 million times, making it the second most popular English-language television series.

Most recently, Netflix released the documentary “The Menéndez Brothers” directed by Alejandro Hartmann. The two brothers, who are serving life sentences for murder, appeared in the documentary and were interviewed.

“The Menendez Brothers” was ranked No. 2 on Netflix’s “Top 10 Most Popular Movies in America Today” as of late Friday afternoon.
The murders of parents Jose and Kitty Menendez occurred in the family’s then-home. The brothers said their father sexually abused them before killing their parents.
Will the Menendez brothers have a chance at freedom?
According to Realtor.com, the property has not been in the Menendez family’s possession since 1991 and has been owned by several different people between then and now.

Its most recent owner acquired the Mediterranean-style Beverly Hills mansion in March of this year. The property was listed for sale in December by Rodeo Realty on behalf of the seller, according to Realtor.com.
This home is located on more than 9,000 square feet. Its expansive interior includes seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, according to listing information.
Menendez’s former home featured a “gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances and a walk-in pantry,” the listing states.

Meanwhile, the total area of the property is more than 22,100 square feet. There is a pool and guest house on site.
Menendez’s home previously sold for $17 million in a March transaction, listings show.
