Battle Creek, Michigan — The German aircraft manufacturer has invested $12 million in southwest Michigan.
Dimor Group is adding a 45,000 square feet of facility to Battle Creek Executive Airport at 15551 S. Airport Road.
There, we will assemble a junker aircraft model.
According to a press release, the plane, named after the aviation pioneer Hugo Junkers, combines historic design with modern, luxurious details. They are assembled by hand with parts manufactured in Germany.
Now the task can be done in Battle Creek.
“We’re in the business of aircraft construction and sales, but at our core, our mission is to really spread our passion for leaving in its purest form.”
The new factory will include cutting-edge machinery, assembly and tools to allow the company to manufacture its own parts.
This expansion will create approximately 40 production and assembly jobs over the next five years with each release.
This site is home to Waco Aircraft Corporation, owned by Dimor Group. The company has invested $30 million in campus so far.
