A political conference in Washington, D.C. billed itself as an alternative to the CPAC, which was evacuated on Sunday after death threats were made against some speakers critical of President Donald Trump.
On Sunday afternoon, Principal Organizers received an email claiming that the organizers of the first summit had threatened some of the well-known speakers and planted pipe bombs at the scene. Department..
The email threats mentioned former national security adviser John Bolton and former US DC police officer Michael Fanone.
The email sender claimed that two pipe bombs at the JW Marriott Hotel in DC were placed at the JW Marriott Hotel, where the first summit of principles is being held. The email also claimed that a pipe bomb would be placed inside a mailbox at Bolton’s house in Maryland.
Organizers warned private security and security guards about the threat to the metropolitan police station in the Columbia area, Heath Mayo, the first founder of the principle, said at a press conference on Sunday. Mayo said the hotel has decided to evacuate the floor where the meeting was held.
“A further investigation revealed that the threat is unfounded. This incident concluded,” a District of Columbia police officer said in a statement to CNN.
Montgomery County police were dispatched to the Bolton residence “this afternoon due to the reported bomb threat proven unfounded.”
The threat stems from an untraceable email address, and the sender said it was “intended to honor the recently released J6 hostage.”
Mayo on Sunday said it has yet to decide who sent the email targeting the meeting. Law enforcement has not commented on who threatened.
“We are not caught up in cows. We are not going to bend our knees. This type of threat to our physical safety as members of Congress is a real problem in the United States. Mayo said the meeting was Sunday. He told attendees when they resumed late in the afternoon.
The principle is to replace the conservative political action meetings placed in more Trump, the first summit bills itself.
The emails also include New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former U.S. Rep. Adam Kintzinger, former Lieutenant Colonel Georgia Jeff Duncan, retired federal appeals judge J. Michael Luttig and businessman Mark Cuban. He threatened other speakers.
Organizers said Sunday that security has been increased following an incident involving former proud boy leader Enrique Talio. Talio was convicted of inflammatory conspiracy and sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in the January 6 attack, but was released from prison last month after receiving a presidential pardon from Trump.
On Saturday, Talio appeared at the First Conference of Principles, facing Fanone and former U.S. Capitol Police Sergeant. Harry Dunn helped protect the Capitol during the January 6th attack.
Talio called Fanone and Dan “co-sick” and he and a group of supporters filmed them and told them to “continue walking” after the two through the hotel.
“You are a traitor of this country,” Fanone said in response to Talio’s insult.
Confirming the incident with Talio, Fanone told CNN Sunday that he believes Trump’s pardon encouraged Talio and other Jan. 6 prisoners.
Both Fanone and Dunn are outspoken critics of the Jan. 6 mob, and the House Selection Committee seeking to investigate the attack on the U.S. Capitol and halt Congressional recognition for the 2020 presidential election I testified before.
In response to Trump’s broad pardon on January 6th, the threat target Fanone told CNN on his inauguration day:
Talio was in DC to attend a conservative political action meeting held from Thursday to Saturday.
