The United Nations says two of the workers have been killed and others have been injured after the compounds in Gaza were damaged.
The situation of the incident remains unknown. However, Gaza’s Hamaslan Health Ministry condemned Israel’s strike and reported that five seriously injured foreign workers were taken to hospitals. Israeli forces refused to target the UN compounds in Deial Bhara.
Israel resumed its attack on Gaza early on Tuesday, killing more than 400 people and ended the fragile ceasefire that came into effect on January 19th.
At least 14 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip overnight.
Tuesday’s strike marked the most heaviest fire since the fragile ceasefire and hostage exchange contracts were in effect. Escalation followed the breakdown of negotiations between Israel and Hamas, and proceeded with the agreement beyond its early stages.
The three-stage ceasefire agreement aims to gradually reduce hostility and promote prisoner interaction.
