Police said that at least five people were shot dead at a school in Olebro, Central Sweden, and that suspicious perpetrators were considered to be in the injured.
Swedish police said on Tuesday that the operation was “progressing” at the center and warned that there is a suspicion of a serious violent crime. The shooting was a campus with other schools, including children, and occurred in schools for Lisbaguska adults.
The officers were first called at 12:30 pm (6:30 am in the eastern standard time), and said to the reporter at a press conference in Olebro, Robert Eedo Forest, the head of the police area.
Jonas Cresson, a local healthcare director, said at least one was seriously injured. Claesson added five people to local university hospitals. Four of them are undergoing surgery, but now they include two stable.
Suspected perpetrators -men are thought to be in the injured, added forest.
CNN’s Affiliate Expressen quoted the police spokesman Lars Hedlin, and previously reported that the police and the perpetrator had a gunshot. The number of people injured in total is unknown, but police said that police were not shot.
The general public was urged to avoid the area and stay indoors.
Sweden’s Justice Minister Gunner Stromer explained that police strategy was “full -fledged” on Tuesday. “The government is closely in contact with the police and is closely contacting the development,” he said to the Swedish news agency, according to the AP communication.
The students are transferred from the school next to the shooting area in örebro, 160 km west (100 miles) in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
“The danger is not over,” said the police. “The people must continue to leave.”
One witness reminded the sound of fear that filled the school corridor, and AP communication quoted the Swedish Expressen Shimbun.
“We heard three bangs and loud shouts,” said 28 -year -old Andreas, evacuating to the classroom. “Now we are sitting here waiting for evacuation from school. The information we received is that we should sit and wait.”
Risbergska School offers elementary and secondary school -level courses. Students over the age of 20 include immigration classes and vocational training.
